Feb 12, 2012 · I also strongly agree it will not burn more fuel as speed gain offsets any increase in FF. The performance is greatly increased for short field take offs and cruise. I used to climb out at about 120 knots now 135-140 knots with the same 500 fpm gain. I cruise at 2400 rpm WOT and lean of peak. Even the Turbo Saratoga doesnt outrun the Bonanza until you get above 10,000, and even then its only by 4 kts (at 10,000), and it has only 30nm more range than the Bonanza. Here is a climb chart and narrative created by Ward A. for the NA-A36. The conditions are climb at full power at 120KIAS Cruise at 75% LOP, or full throttle LOP. Descend at 165KIAS, -500 FPM at what-ever power it take (constantly adjusting). Above 12k ft, we descent at WOT, and 500fpm at whatever speed we can get (less than 165KIAS). This seems to be new in 32.11.1.
